| Yet another T-28 (the 10th so far) was shot down while strafing VC forces in support of ARVN ground troops in Phuong Dinh province inland from the Mekong Delta. The citation for Capt Lukasik’s posthumous award of the Air Force Cross states that he was providing air cover for the search and recovery of a VNAF pilot whose aircraft had been shot down but that this action took place on the 18th rather than the 19th. |
