| The first of the RB-66 fleet to be lost in Southeast Asia flew into a mountain during a low-level night infra-red reconnaissance mission near the village of Plei Toun Breng, 25 miles east of Pleiku and less than 10 miles from the border with Laos. The cause of the crash was not ascertained. |
