| Another aircraft was lost during a FAC mission in Laos. An OV-10 (call sign Nail 28) was hit twice by ground fire as it flew at 7,000 feet near Ban Tanbok, about 20 miles southwest of the A Shau Valley. One of the engines caught fire and Capt Taylor ejected to be rescued later by a HH-53 helicopter from the 40th ARRS. |
