| As a Crusader returned from a BARCAP mission it struck the ramp of the Oriskany and the pilot lifted off to go around for another approach. However, the aircraft’s fuel state was already critical and during the circuit to land the aircraft ran out of fuel and the pilot was forced to eject. |
