During an escort mission an F-102 pilot reported a loss of engine oil pressure. The aircraft subsequently crashed in Thailand and the pilot was killed. This particular aircraft had previously protected the US capital when it served with the 95th FIS at Andrews AFB, Maryland and was the last of 14 F-102s lost in Southeast Asia during eight years of detachments to a variety of bases.
