| A two-seat Skyhawk from MAG-13, using the call sign Love Bug 50, was returning from a target spotting mission south of Hué when it disappeared. The crew had reported that they had completed their mission and were over the sea and flying down the coastline to return to Chu Lai. The reason for its loss could not be determined. Lt Ricker was a US Naval flight surgeon flying with the Marines on an exchange posting. |
