| A Marine Corps Intruder on a strike mission collided with a Crusader on a non-combat flight a few miles out to sea near Da Nang at night. The two crew from the Intruder ejected and were rescued by a USAF HH-3E (Jolly Green 4) from the 37th ARRS but the Crusader pilot was killed. |
