| Another Phantom was lost in the Annamites during the night of the 26th. Maj Corbitt and 1Lt Bare took off from Tan Son Nhut for a photographic reconnaissance mission over the southern provinces of North Vietnam, which would include taking photographs of a ferry at Laut Son. Apparently the crew had finished their task and was returning when their aircraft (call sign Hipster 4) disappeared in the mountains about 25 miles west of Dong Hoi. There was no evidence to suggest that the crew had survived the crash of their aircraft. |
